The institute

The Institute for Pharmaeconomic research (IPF) was founded in March 2003 in Vienna, Austria, as an independent, non-university research institute, dealing with analyses and strategic research within health economics. The main focus is centred within the pharmaceutical industry.

Under the direction of Dr. Evelyn Walter, a high qualified, experienced and competent team is at your disposal. We connect experience and knowledge from the social- and economic sciences, medicines, as well as natural science. Therefore, we operate and assure a high service level for our customers.

Our daily work is shaped by collaborative thinking, a responsible approach and a clear focus on the essential aspects. A close and trusting cooperation with our customers, cooperation partners and colleagues from all areas of the health system is very important for us.

We offer counselling and develop individual products. Our clients are pharma- and diagnostic-industries, the pharmaceutical wholesaling sector, representatives of interests of the pharmaceutical branch, the chemical industry as well as different health institutions. This is due to our versatile and interdisciplinary services which are especially distinguished by flexibility – individual and combined activities as well as complete solutions – are possible.

Economic evaluations of the health care system are an important instrument in times of scarce resources. Studies from a micro- and macroeconomic point of view highlight the health sector extremely.
